I came up with this as a solution to a soggy yard that keeps standing water. It took some effort so I hope that everything pans out. I plan to fill the inside of the square with some mulch to eliminate the grass and for an aesthetic look.

Good Idea @intrepidthinker. I gotta admit I wish I had the "Water Problem" but alas, Southern Nevada is kinda dry, all the time. Try adding a rock filled cistern at each corner to assist in drainage without losing the water. 12" holes as deep as you can get them, filled with 1"-2" river rock... Good luck!!
