I grew these huge oyster mushrooms inside using a box kit from Back to the Roots. The least involved (& fastest) gardening project I've had, ever.
It took about a week for them to sprout, but after that they were doubling in size every single day. They just needed to be misted twice a day (but were happy to get more if I felt like it!).
I'm excited to grow these again in a few weeks after give the box some time to "rest".
Does anyone have any experience growing mushrooms out of logs or bails of hay? Thinking about removing the substrate from the box after the next harvest and trying something new, but not sure what yet. I know they tend to like used coffee grounds too...
