It is not that hard to identify some of the weeds out there in roadside cracks and crevices, abandoned lots, in the plains, along a dirt road, and all around. Based on where you live you can learn by researching a bit in the Internet, no need to buy books for such knowledge because it is not only easy but fast to know about them.

Here in my village I am sure that there are Purslane which grows elsewhere. They have a distinct look and structure and they also have a distinct color of flower and they are bright yellow, small flowers that are also nutritious. In fact Purslane has the highest vitamin A compared to the common vegetables and it includes its little flowers.

Hibiscus is not a weed though but most people will be surprised that some parts of it are edible and can be incorporated to some of the dishes that you can cook, it is a flowering plant, the flower has some protein in it and the leaves are just like any other leafy vegetables but is like Okra because both flowers and the leaves of Hibiscus are "slippery."

There are many other types of wild vegetable out there that are ready to be utilized and I guess soon some of these ignored wild vegetables that are regarded by weeds by many people simply because all that they know was only those that can be bought in the public and supermarkets are the only vegetables which are now like gold with their prices because a price of not even big eggplant is ₱10 (PhP) which is actually so expensive.

Now people can just turn to these wild vegetables and use them as their option to give the family and alternative food source. They are easy to maintain and not needing any insecticides. So people with a good space in their property can harvest some of these wild veggies and transplant them to your property. So because of these continuous price hikes of commodities because of the ever increasing price of fuel, people now should or already thinking of planting their own vegetables particularly if you have a green thumb and or if you want to not buy much of the common vegetables in the market because the prices are soaring enough that they are now unreachable for many consumers.
