Howdy Steemers,
Cton here and I have big dreams of one day having the big ranch with lots of orchards and hard wood trees and all that jazz. But I don't have the land so how can I prep for this future... by starting my plants that will take the longest time to grow and fruit is how I decided to start. We all know undeveloped property is usually the least expensive and I decided a long time ago that if I am going to spend more money it will be on more land, not more money on less land that is more developed. So far I have a few plants that are all under 1 year old and they are all in pots for future forever homes. Now all these plants are started from seed around January 2017 and these photos are from June. I have sold several of my apple trees to neighbors for $15 each, and to be honest they thought it was a great deal and I thought it was easy money, I think I see a business in there some where but that's another post. Lets start with APPLES!
Pictured are 2 granny smiths and 6 regular cheap apples not even sure there brand. Pretty boring right well they grow well in Canadastan, and require little work, and I love me some apple pie.
Allrighty then next up is a local delicacy called a salmon berry its like a raspberry but its orange and tastes a little different and is really tasty. It is not a black berry which is local as well but I didn't plant any of those as they grow like weeds and can get them everywhere. Now if any one is interested In salmon berry seeds I'd be glad to send them in the mail. These ones do need a winter in the ground before they will grow so plant them end of summer beginning of fall and they should sprout in the spring. After that just watch them grow.
Now this one will require a lot of work and I do plan on actually buying some that are more mature and eventually put them in their own bio dome with added light in the winter months but I really enjoy the AVACADO!
Alright now that we are into the exotics I got my last one that was just a see what happens seed and it is an Orange which just sprung so don't judge it to harshly. Again similar to my avocado plan I will probably purchase some more mature orange trees and bio dome them as well.
Well that's it for now folks will add more as I add more.
