This is what our celery scrap looked like 30th of march when I put it in water.

Two days later, the 1st of April, its already much greener and have a little thinger growing in the middle

The 4th of april the green thinger is way bigger , have a friend and look at that root in the water!

5th of April, just because I really really like this picture!

The 11th of April I transplanted it to a red solo cup that I punched holes in the bottom of.

I read up on celery and realized it prefers cool weather, seedlings are to be transplanted outside 3 weeks prior to last frost! We are now a week or so away from last frost here and the weather is getting warmer. So, these guys have been hardened off for a few days I decided it was time to transplant them to their forever home. I might have to get them some shade to begin with but this spot just have morning sun/noon sun so they will hopefully be fine.

Look at those roots! I was quite impressed with how much they grown since I put them in their red plastic cup.

The second celery we grown from scraps got to tag along too. It went from water to soil outside. Im excited to see how these guys will do. They been a lot of fun growing from scraps since they change so much, so fast!

Hope everyone had a real great day. We had to rush all our plants inside - the Albertan weather hit - it went from sunshine to storm in about 5 minutes

So cool! Look at all that growth, wow!

I hadn't thought of gardening as a workout. Not sure I should, I might quit lol

yeah it was super fun to grow the celery, it was always changing and growing :D

haha yeah, perhaps best not to ;) But its good to know for the day after when your body hurts, then you know why hehe

Ha ha! Oh man, that's great! Now Matt and I can plan our gardening around our workouts.

Great job with the celery. I am impressed with how fast it grew. We are also no strangers to Red Solo Cup gardening. 🤣

I know you and Matt have connected before but I didn't realize you were also in Alberta. Finding people near by with similar interests is always kinda fun! -Aimee

haha indeed! :D

Thanks! Yeah me too, I had to double check the dates on the pics just to make sure that it was so. Hehe they are handy and I saw someone use em and thought they should be food grade so that works :)

Yes, my husband is Canadian, originally from Saskatchewan but lived in Alberta most of his life. Im imported from northern sweden hehe. Yes I was happy to find you guys, living in the same kind of area makes it so I can ask about your experience with plants and stuff, which is super helpful!

Ha ha ha! Imported. That made me laugh! Well I hope we can help out. I saw we but honestly, it would probably be Matt giving the advice. Me? I'll just nod my head and pretend I know what's going on. 😅 -Aimee

Hehe imported sounds fancier than immigrated ;)
Oh I already learned a lot just by reading his post and its nice to know one got someone to ask if there are questions :) Haha I see. Well we got graphic design in common, I bet there´s plenty we can talk about there :D

Ha ha! I agree, you are fancy! Nice, so glad we all have something in common. We look forward to seeing how your no dig garden progresses. -Aimee
