Honeybee covered in Sqaush & Sunflower Pollen + Bonus BEE TONGUES & Bee Peekaboo GIF

in gardening •  7 years ago  (edited)

Pollen coated bees have been roaming through my gardens. It has been a hot and somewhat windy day so it made for a difficult time getting clear shots. The bee slowly flew up and out of the squash flower and landed on the edge of the leaf to do a little cleaning and while it hung and cleaned the wind moved it side to side. Of all the shots I got only a few that were clear enough to see and even these are not perfect.

I just love seeing the pollen grains on the Honeybee! It's so cool to see the individual hairs and individual grains.

Excellent images. I feel guilty when I eat Bee Pollen and I do eat a lot of it. It's like stealing really I guess.

As long as they have enough stores for winter, the extra is extra. Crazy that each bee produces so little over a life time though but that is why the hive has 100K+ bees in full working mode

well honeybee is the best bee in this world for honey which always need for us

Great shots of them even the pollen so clear
Bees are such hard workers
