My Yucca Desert Garden In The High Desert Of San Diego County, California

One Of About 40 Yucca Plants

One of the fun things about our homestead is that it is a group of several small and medium homesteads all linked together across the United States. For me, this gives me the opportunity to start a variety of things that we can all use as a family. Most of our family depend on me to start and then show them how to care for whatever I start. My Yucca garden is a fun desert garden that allows those who like to weave mats and baskets the material they need. Yucca is a beautiful plant and does well in several climates.

The Yucca Garden

I have  started Yucca in the sub tropics and also in the desert. By far, the nicest Yucca garden is the one in the high mountain desert.  The leaves are much nicer and easier to use in the making of mats. They provide income and sell widely in the RV community.  So if you are looking for a fun and profitable garden, and live in the desert, check out  the Yucca. We grow both in the ground and in large pots. It is easy to grow and it propagates by side shoots off the stem.  So have fun and explore what you can do with the Yucca Plant.

Thanks Bitfixer999, I agree. I am visiting Orlando, Florida now during November and San Diego during December. Washington is all about snow, rain, and ice for the winter.

Thanks mahfug716, I have a lot of fruits and veggies growing in the main gardens. Then I have several mini gardens. I start more each time I am in that place. Right now just arrived at the Florida property and will be taking care of this garden. Then back to the high desert in December.
