I've got tomatoes self-sprouting out of my compost bucket.
I use the compost bucket mostly to recycle compost tea, as it drains into a catch bucket underneath. Yet it also self-sows new vegetables from last year's scrap waste. We get the best-tasting, disease-free tomatoes here.
Thanks for the videos. They always inspire me to get out in the garden and be fearless and proactive and smart with my time.

You're packing a ton of great information into your videos. I'm impressed. There are lots of different species of mycorrhizal fungi and each species can have a limited range of plants that they will associate with. I looked up the fungus type in Mykos (Rhizophagus intraradices) and found some scientific literature suggesting this fungus does associate with tomatoes. The fungus is helpful in drought conditions, so new food forests that don't have as much water retention capacity would likely benefit greatly from this hack you are recommending.
This source refers to the drought-tolerance attribute of having mycorrhizal fungus associate with tomatoes.
