Then again, I live in San Diego, so my raised beds are currently pumping out greens right now ;)

2018 Garden Planning Competition
Due to the incredible generosity of @abh12345, I now have the coveted "vote slider" here on Steemit. And I've been talking with @goldendawne about how to best use it to grow the community that I most often interact with here - the gardeners.
We came up with a competition that ties in nicely with spring coming: a garden planning competition!
Here's What You Will Win:
- 3 SBD (2 from my personal stash and 1 from @beyondordinary)
- A full upvote on your next post from @goldendawne (currently worth $3.18)
- A full upvote on your next post from me (currently worth $0.18)
- A full upvote on your next post from @creativetruth (currently worth $3.48)

We're doing this to build stronger roots (pun intended) amongst the gardeners here.
How to Enter and Rules:
Write a post sharing your plan for your 2018 garden:
- What do you want to grow in 2018?
- What is your garden going to look like?
- What are you going to do differently this year?

- Deadline is Friday 8pm EST
- Winner will be announced over the weekend
- Have fun - use this to really think about how to get the most out of your garden this year!

I love the idea.
I’m a passionate gardener from Belgium, and since the season ends here in October, I’m actually half-hibernating. When the season ended I turned back to my other love, which is cryptocurrency. That’s how I ended up at SteemIt.
Now I’m combing SteemIt with a little bit of indoor gardening, but neither is a big success. ;-)
I do have a gardening blog in Dutch, but since there’s not a lot to tell about gardening during the winter months (except for making sowing calenders and garden plans, which I both think are boring) it’s a bit quite over there. For the same Reason, I haven’t found a way to start blogging about it here on SteemIt.
I feel like this post could be the one to turn that around. I can’t wait to start brainstorming... :-)

I am an artist/writer/lightworker and to be honest the only time I have had green fingers is historically when painting!
