Ooh, strawberries! I keep eyeing those on the seedling sales. If you want to minimize your plastic use, an old glass pane works well too. I also reuse disposable plastic food trays such as cake containers for sprouting seeds.

Our grape containers are a great seed trays, my kids go through so many at my mums and she has been saving them for me. :D
I have an old glass pain I have been using over some seeds that I sowed a couple of weeks ago and in all fairness I have had a better germination rate using it rather than using the normal plastic ones you buy.
I can't wait for our first lot of strawberries, I just wonder if I will get to eat any as the kids always come first :D
