This is an exciting step forward!

After a lot of effort in moving the rabbits down to our land, we are finally getting an excellent ROI. If you missed the effort put into the move, click here to catch up.

EXCITING RABBIT MANURE VLOG

CHECK IT OUT!

With the rabbit pen down on the land and no more Bermuda grass being fed to them, the manure that we collect can be used to enrich our garden soil. Moreover, since rabbit manure is a "cold manure" that won't burn the plants, it can be directly applied to the soil, and you can plant right in it! The collection system I currently have set up allows the manure to run directly into some five gallon buckets, so easy transportation.

Since the rabbit cages are conveniently located between the mobile home and the garden, it is easy to pick up some manure along the way to fertilize the plants with. Today I just happened upon and realized that I could start already, so I was excited and impressed!

I added some buckets together and took about two pounds worth of manure to the Tamarillos. By leaving it on the surface like this, it'll be a "time released" fertilizer than can be "applied" with each watering or rain fall. I can't wait to build up these raised beds and increase our harvests even more!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

When I was I kid. I only feed my pet rabbits wild edibles. Nothing else.

Wow! Very cool. That is very non-typical, but I like it!

I had time that did not happen here brother, Excellent publication fecal waste of many animals are usually the best fertilizer for plants that exist this is a good way to recycle something we have and use it in this way many countries should take this into account for Do not waste money. A big hug for you from Venezuela

Thank you! A BIG HUG right back at you!

Great idea!.....:)...

Yeah! It works and should really help out!

we use to do the same thing with our rabbits. we would sell it for peoples gardens and make pretty good money

That's a clever idea, I didn't even think about using rabbit dropping before this post. I have been going to the local horses field and helping myself to their droppings. it isn't to far a way and the landowner told me to help myself.
nice one @papa-pepper :D

Excellent use of that poop! At least you are not eating those rabbits now!!!

Yup, no more rodents on the menu for us these days.

Have you discovered the joy of manure tea yet? No not to drink, to make a powerful pour on or spray on fertilzer! I used to make chicken and cow tea. Looks like you have plenty of rabbit poo to make it work. Five gallon bucket 1/3 full of manure, the rest water. Let it sit in the sun for five days and brew. Then pour off the fluid on your plants. Put a bit more manure in the bucket and add water and start all over again. It really is great stuff for plants!

Oh yes, some manure tea is excellent and I do frequently make it too! Thanks @armadilloman.

I can see why you get excited about rabbit poop! Instant fertilizer. No mess,no fuss. I can see the results from all the composting and poop. You have a fertile garden that is producing lots of food.

Yeah, it is exciting!

We've seen MASSIVE improvements to our veggies this year because of using rabbit manure. We worked it into the soil before planting. The corn was ready by July -2 months earlier than usual. (planted it in April...) It's been 9 years since we had pumpkins or squash, and those are a bumper crop this year. Some of the leaves on those plants are so large they could be umbrellas for small kids. One of our largest squash is well over 35 pounds in size and still has time to grow yet.
