Hi everyone,

I've been a little MIA this week; Brian's had some tough days, but he seems to be back to "normal" today, so I'm doing my best to catch up on comments and of course, write this post. I'd like to thank everyone for commenting on my last post "An update on @briancourteau"; the continued support that we receive from everyone is truly heartwarming!

This post is thanks to @simplymike's Garden Journal Challenge. If you haven't had a look at her garden posts, you really should. She is growing some really odd and interesting fruits and vegetables...even new to this old farm girl :)

Here is my little oasis, work space, little balcony. I like it out there because as you can see, it gets plenty of shade by late in the morning. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to step foot out there until evening time.

Being in Mexico, I've had to seriously re-learn what I know about growing. The heat here is continuous and relentless, even most evenings, so after killing a couple of plants (my favorite hydrangea and a little ornamental tree), I've decided to go with more green plants that need little water and enjoy lots of sun!

I've left the dead tree for now to remind me that I've got nothing on Mother Nature!

ajray1brhn.png

My Hibiscus loves this climate though. It has tripled in size over the last couple of months. This photo was taken a little less than 6 weeks ago. You can see how much smaller it was then, although it bloomed like crazy!
x32hwikz1k.png

And today, it has plenty of buds still coming. Makes me so happy to see these little guys :)
anp54eicr0.png
The other plant beside the Hibiscus also loves the sun. I don't know the name of it (do any of you?), but it grows these shoots that continue to flower. The shoots also don't need any soil to continue growing. Perfect for this climate...and me!

We picked up this plant at a local store and unlike at home, there's no little marker stuck in the soil. So, I think it's a bit like a rubber plant of some kind; the leaves have that feel to it, but like the previous plant, this one needs lots of sun and little water. It also grows like a weed and has doubled in size over the last few weeks.
uo23m860je.png

The others here I've had for a while now, but have grown plenty as well. You can see that I've had to split one of them already because it was in such a little pot. The biggest one "came" with our last apartment, and was almost dead when we arrived. I've babied it and am so pleased with its growth. It's very popular around here and also needs lots of sun and little water. Are you seeing a pattern here yet? :)
aqmci70kaf.png

We added a lounge chair for Brian to enjoy it out here too, and I enjoy my hammock daily :) Let me just say that the locals are on to something with the whole siesta thing!!
cv7kzjdgu3.png

What you don't find on most balconies are these two items and they've both helped me grow in weight haha One is an electric fry pan/deep fryer and the other a portable oven/convection oven, something I have never seen elsewhere. It even came with a rotisserie bar and easily fits a whole chicken.
We spotted this at the local Mega store (Mexican equivalent to Wal-Mart), and bought it immediately because I was tired of cooking everything on the stove top.
nbsbkfzxt2.png

The interesting thing here, is that most places have a gas cooktop, but no oven. Ours has a door in front but inside is just shelves for pots and pans/dishes etc. Has anyone else seen a stove/oven like this?

br0isughv7.png

This post just took a slight turn there, so I'm leaving you a close up of my favorite flower from the balcony, the Hibiscus :) Hope you enjoyed this, and I think it's time for a siesta; I can hear my hammock calling my name :)

Do you have a favorite plant or flower?

Hummm, I think my favorite flower would be a toss up, verbena, or the little johnny jump ups from pansy self seeding. Plant wise though may favorite is Lemon Thyme, I love the smell of it, and it does get pretty tiny pink flowers on it.

Glad to hear Brian is having a bit better few days.

Hi @bashadow, I have never heard of

johnny jump ups

Do you have a photo of those?? They sound awfully cute though :) I love verbena too! I bet they would do nicely here; if I'm thinking of the right plant, they don't require a lot of water and love the sun too?

I love Lemon Thyme; Mother Nature really is our best artist, isn't she? :)

Thanks re: Brian as well. I appreciate your continued support!!

I see @donkeypong visited you as well with a lovely upvote! Thanks for the support :)

Here is a quick image I found on flicker, it was a free to use image.

not mine from flicker free to use.jpg

Their volunteer violets from pansies. I guess the seed don't hold true for the next generation or fancy pansies. So you get these little ones from the seeds of fancy ones.

Yeah, I did get a big comment vote from them. I don't know why, like me and you I guess, just goes and votes people sometimes.

Those are so cute, and now I know exactly what you are talking about! Thanks :)

donkeypong has been a big supporter of Brian and I, and he now continues to support my posts, but this is exceptionally special to me now :) I'm glad you were the recipient @bashadow!

I always like votes, one day I'll have enough vote power, and reputation to help make a real difference. I know I make a difference to a lot of people, we both do with the help onboarding new users and comments and votes on post with few comments or votes. Slow but steady growth. We are getting there.

I was just saying to someone else how nice (and smart) it is to develop a community when you first arrive, and watch and help everyone grow together. It's pretty cool to see, and all the while helping others along the way.

I know you will always be generous with your upvotes :) Unfortunately at the moment, my voting power has gone to the dogs haha

You do know they are edible, right? Puts some nice color on your dishes :0)

I knew nasturtium flowers and leaves were edible, but I did not know about the pansies and violets being edible.

I should look up what pansies are, but violets are edible for sure :0)

I think pansies are screwed with violets, because if you plant pansies you will end up with a lot of the violets in your yard, sometimes some miniature true color pansies, one year we had one of the deep purple guys that was throwing off deep purple seedlings only in a much much smaller size.

My moms favorite flower is a Hibiscus! I think they're beautiful but I'm afraid I don't have a green thumb lol and would kill it haha! Your little deck is inspirational! Makes me want to attempt some flowers whenever we get our deck here. They have cute ones that say they don't require a whole lot at our Walmart. Maybe next year I can explore that.

It's funny I came across this post! That little oven that fits the chicken in.. along time ago I had one but literally burnt everything! (face palm) haha I gave up and eventually got arid of it.
Thanks for sharing your lovely garden with us! It's beautiful.

hahaha @squirrellyma! Your oven comment is funny! I have to say that this thing cooks sooo fast, I really need to watch what's in there. Perhaps that was your issue :)

My mom's favorite is Hibiscus too!! Perhaps that's why it's mine as well. Oh, I've had my fair share of plant killings over the years haha, but I'm starting to figure it out....go low maintenance...little water, lots of sun or lots of shade (whatever you have) and leave nature to do its thing!

Thanks for an awesome comment!! And I see that @donkeypong popped by too...thanks for the awesome upvote :)

That very well could have been it! I was horrible at keeping track of things back then.. and then I learned when our microwave capooied, I still always forget to set a timer! haha. I think I've burned or made more crispy items in the past 4 months than I'd rather admit too. But it's definitely getting better so hoping after we remodel our kitchen I can find one. I hear its great for pizza crusts (personal size). I think my little would enjoy learning how to use it for his special pizzas.

Definitely low maintenance.. I seen someone had little cactus's.. I was thinking i could probably keep those alive. Their picture was so tiny and cute of it.
And you're welcome! your post was too awesome to pass up:)

haha burnt everything! Remodeling the kitchen; that's awesome :) A bit of a mess whilst going through it though! I've been there.

I love those little wee cactus. They are so cute and some flower nicely too. I'll have to look for those. But yes, best part....no maintenance :)

LOve your little Oasis and beautiful plants

Glad Brian is a little better and sending postive energy his way

Hey @tattoodjay, thank you so much for stopping by!! Thank you for the nice compliments as well. Here is Mexico, there seems to be color everywhere; something we don't tend to do very well back home (Canada). I love it!

And thank you so much for the positive energy sent to Brian; it means a great deal to me :)

@lynncoyle1 Its the least I can do for Brian, you both seem such caring people and you deserve the best going forward

Aww that's very sweet of you, thank you @tattoodjay :)

I think I have seen stoves like that in rustic old hunting cabins. My favorite flowers lately are some irises in my backyard. They are gorgeous. They've been there since we bought the house but I did some serious tree trimming that gave them more sunlight and they are really loving it.

No kidding? They'd be perfect for a cabin that's for sure! I too love irises, and yes, they do love the sun. Their flowers seem so delicate to me, but they're actually a pretty hardy plant!

Thanks so much for stopping by @steven-patrick :)

Aww, your plants are doing so well! Good call on switching to green ones that really like the sun. The hammock looks very welcoming.

I really like lilies when I can get them. The smell reminds me of something, but I'm not sure what. Maybe I was an Elf king or something and had lilies all the time, but then I was cursed and became human, thus losing my place as king. Now I wander the Earth as a human, but my mind still remembers the sweet smell of my kingdom. One day, one day, maybe I'll return. 0.0

You'd love the hammock I think. Elf Kings are used to relaxing, from what I remember. The smell of lilies are my all time favorite flower smell!!! Perhaps I too lived among the elves, enjoying the sweet smells of the kingdom. Why oh why wouldn't something like this happen to us? sigh One day maybe...

I wouldn't mind getting to relax in a hammock by the ocean. That sounds lovely. Of course I would want to be in the shade and have a sweet drink in my hand.... maybe a Kombucha. Ahhh, I'm relaxing already.

That sounds pretty perfect actually! By late morning, my hammock is all shade, and I hooked it up high enough that there's always a nice breeze too. A cold drink in my Bubba Keg and I'm good to go :)

Sounds like you're set! Enjoy. :)

Thank you...I did haha

Hmm not sure if I have a favorite flower, I used to help my mom do her Orchids before when I was a kid.

No kidding Mave?! Orchids are one of the most difficult plants to keep. They're very picky about where they sit; light, water all of it. Your mom had patience and a green thumb.

I've killed every orchid I've ever owned lol

This makes me think about doing a post like this. You told a nice story about your plants. Her garden was so big I was like hmm I have flowers and a tomato plant that is about done.

hahaha I looked at my balcony through the eyes of her post as well and thought, 'well, this is lacking' haha, but decided to spin a little story into it all and bingo, gotta a post :) You should totally do the same, and come back here and let me know when you do :) We little garden guys have to stick together :)

That's a beautiful little outdoor space you have their. I like the flower arrangements too.

Thank you so much @jonnyla08; I appreciate your compliments!

You certainly have created a peaceful space, @lynncoyle1 - Nice feng shui feeling.

I've definitely not seen an over like that before but that extra pot space is a nice idea ;)

My favorite plant right now (if that is possible-I love them all) but my fiddle fig tree right beside me. My bad kitty knows that I love this plant so she will look at me and take a bite out of a leaf - I have teeth marks on nearly every leaf now. Obviously she would rather I was spending time with her than the computer....I get it. :)

Love to you both

hahaha that's so funny. My cat just nips at my ankles when he's had enough!

Thank you so much; I love this little space! It's so peaceful and bright and I love watching the world go by too!

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words as always!

I'm seeing that through your eyes - pictures say so much.

Wishing you a beautiful day, Lynn

Your garden looks great. Especially considering your story and that you just moved to a new area and are doing it all on a balcony. I hope you have a lot of luck and a luscious garden soon.

Thank you so much @abitcoinskeptic! With the heat here, and the fact that it doesn't cool off much at night, I can't take too much credit for it all :)

Lovely to see your little garden coming together @lynnecoyle1.

It's hard to say what my favourite flower is as there are so many of them - roses, fritillaria, winter jasmine, honeysuckle, sweet peas, aquilegia, poppies, snowdrops, clematis. And that's without stopping to think.

It might be easier to say which ones I don't like. I'm not keen on carnations or dahlias. 😁

Thank you @gillianpearce! I appreciate that. I love all those fragrant ones too, and yes, carnations are a dime a dozen...not a big fan :)

I love seeing your patio. It looks like such a tranquil oasis with all the white and bright colors. I bet aloe plant would do great in that climate. Also a bit of the gel would probably be soothing to Brians mouth.
I bet the people there just don't like to bake because of the heat.
I have a toaster oven but seldom use it. Putting one outside in summer is a great idea.

Thank you @headchange, it is my little oasis for sure. The days when Brian isn't well, and I'm "stuck" inside, it's so nice to be able to step out there! I've had my eye out for an aloe plant actually; and I see they've just come out with an Aloe drink here I've been meaning to try...probably full of sugar though. Everything seems to be here!

Most people live very sparingly here. With the heat, doors are always open, so I peak inside to see how people really live and it's so different from home. We went by one today and the room we 'saw' had a tv and two hammocks! What else do you need lol

We have an aloe drink here. It is good but imported from China and lots of sugar. I keep trying to grow mine large enough to get filet. I have run across some great smoothie recipes.
I love home peeking lol. Picture windows at night are always interesting, especially during holiday season.
Hammock and a t.v. ... I love it.

hahaha "home peeking" ... that's it exactly!!! One of my favorite pastimes when I'm walking at night :)

Stupid me. Thinking that yellowing leaves meant too dry, I kept watering my young tomato plants until they all died! Damnit!

I learn something new from all your posts. Thanks.

Namaste, JaiChai

When it's only the bottom leaves that are turning yellow, it has nothing to do with watering... it's a normal thing for tomato plants

Thanks! I'm still VERY NEW at this...

Namaste, JaiChai

hahaha @jaichai, your comment made me seriously laugh out loud, not fake lol :)

Yes, yellowing leaves often means too much water. Poor lil' things :)

Roses. Lilies. That's about it. Mainly because my wife likes them. :)

So, no cactus plants, ferns or palms? I would think all of those would grow pretty good, too. You'd probably have to watch the palm tree, maybe get one for indoor that doesn't grow very tall but keep it out on the balcony. I guess your space is limited, so I'm just throwing it out there.

I think I might have told you about the hammocks I bought wholesale from RADA (Yucatan area) to sell up here. Never did get in one though. I wish I had. I think I did manage to get rid of them all. I think they're meant for warmer climes though, because you can't really leave them out in the weather during the winter here.

I have never seen a stove like that, but I like it. You might prefer an oven, though. Or because it's too hot, maybe that's okay. What about a stove top and dishwasher, though? That would be cool combo. :)

I like hibiscus flowers, but I like the drink Jamaica better. Good stuff!

I've considered some cactus, but Buddy, our cat, tends to rub against the plants a bit and I'm afraid he'd get poked with something. He'd only do it once, I guess :) I considered palms or ferns, but they can sometimes be a bit finicky and truthfully, I know it's a little space, but I don't want to have to "tend" too much to the whole area. I do get some grandiose ideas when I'm swinging in the hammock, but that's about as far as it gets :)

Yes, you did tell me about the hammocks before. My brother, who lives in Texas has one, but I think it's mostly for the kids to mess around with. I think you're right; the weather is not too conducive for it there.

The stove actually works better than any oven I've ever owned. It cooks evenly and so fast and efficient, plus it's also lightweight. I bet it weighs less than 10 lbs. I like that I don't heat the house up when cooking too now; it can all be done outside.

I love Jamaica; so delicious!!

You do kind of need some space for the ferns and the palms. Cactus aren't necessarily the prettiest of plants, unless they bloom. Then, I guess they can be. It seems like you have the plants that grow in the heat with little moisture that you want and that's enough.

One of these days I'll get a setup for a hammock and then get one. I really like the idea behind them. It's the getting in and out that can be tricky and potentially dangerous. I'd probably need to drop some weight, too, before I did it, just in case I did ever fall out. It's the bigger they are the harder they fall concept.

I've been cooking out on the grill when it's my turn so I don't heat up the house. I think I'm going to try making some Pad Thai tomorrow. Need to look up a recipe or two and find out what ingredients we might have or need.

I think we all should have a place where we can have grandiose ideas, and I also think we should at least try to implement one or two of them. Especially if we really like the idea and can put some passion behind them.

Every once in a while my wife will make Jamaica. You can get the powdered kind, but I much prefer when she just gets the dried leaves and steeps them. You need copious amounts of sugar, though. :)

You see how high off the ground my hammock is? I fell out of it once! I just woke from a nap, kind of groggy, and just rolled 'funny'. I caught myself a little, but the side of my knee nailed the lounge chair. It's swollen and bruised still, but it could have been a whole lot worse!

I love Pad Thai. I make it but cheat and put in peanut butter in the sauce...becomes more of a peanut sauce, but it's really good and easy!

You need copious amounts of sugar, though. :)

It seems as though that's the basis for just about every drink I've ever had here haha

i wasn't going to ask if you had fallen out of the hammock. I'm hoping it was fairly recent if it's still swollen and bruised. Don't need that kind of thing lingering on.

I would think it would be inevitable that it at least happen once. Over sand or softer ground would be better, though.

I really like it, too. With more peanut sauce the better. The noodles are secondary. I didn't make it tonight, though, so maybe I'll go for it next week. Not sure if everyone will be here by then or not, but I can still make it and we can eat for next Sunday after church or something.

Yeah, sugar tends to get in a lot of things down there. Then you have the sugar and the chili powder on things like lollipops. Got to get the kids going early with that stuff. :)

It was a few days ago now, but today's the first day the swelling is going down. I've been expecting it to happen; I'm a bit of a klutz :)

Me too; the noodles are secondary. It's great left over too; actually, one of those things that has better flavor the next day.

yes, the sugar/chili/tamarind on everything! Sugar and deep fried, or together...the churro. No wonder I'm gaining weight :)

Churros done right are some of the best food on the planet, though. I'm not so into the filling they've been putting in lately the few I've been eating around here. I like the fried dough by itself better.

I need to go back to the Thai food place we went years ago with my former partner and his wife and try it again. I also like pineapple rice, but the place we have closest to us made it different and I didn't like it nearly as much.

Okay, good. Glad to hear the swelling is going down. Yeah, but better to hit the chair than hit the floor or fall off the balcony somehow. Silver linings and tiny blessings. :)

I love your brightly coloured patio :)

Thank you @sweetpea, that's so nice of you to say!! I haven't talked with you for a while and hope you are well :)

Thank you for stopping by!!

howdy there @lynncoyle1! your funky photos finally loaded on my perfect pc so here I am. I would live on that balcony, it does indeed look like a little paradise! the photos are perfect and that Hisibiscuits flower or whatever that bright red thing is? oh man! extraordinary. great post lady...the grammar could use a little work though, too bad English is your second language but still it ain't bad for an amateur. just sayin.
but there's always next month when you do your next post.

hahaha you are really getting funnier by the day :) It is a pretty awesome balcony, I'm not sure the hammock could hold the weight of your big head, but I'd give it a go regardless. It is not an edible flower, oh wait, actually it is. There's a great drink here called Jamaica(pronounced hah-MY-kah), and it's made from this exact flower!

Stay tuned big boy, I've got another post ready to go this evening :) Yep, your old eyes read that right! :)

ooohhh! so this is going to be a record setting week for the vaunted Lynncoyle11111 the third! very impressive. do you want to run it by me first because of the grammar thing?

hey if the hammock can hold your feet I think I would fit!
i want me one of those hahmykahs.

hey if the hammock can hold your feet I think I would fit!

hahahaha best come back ever !!!

the grammar one is a very close second lol

i want me one of those hahmykahs.

Made me think of this song. Just listen to the first two sentences being sung :)

how did you come up with this thing? that is great. I didn't realize that I was basically spelling "hahmykahs" ha!
what are you Jewish?

hahaha nope, not Jewish, and I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler either, but this SNL skit always made me laugh and as soon as you spelled it, sounding like Hanukkah, this popped into my head lol

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I'm impressed that you remembered it, the skit looks pretty old.
I suppose you got your post done, I did mine as well but it's not as good as I wanted it to be, but the photo thingys look better. do me a favor and see what you think, I'm just trying to make history not so boring by including a little bit of humor but I have no idea if it is a little humorous or sucky, I'm just going for humorous, not to win the comedyopenmic thing.

I've already asked two people and they won't tell me so maybe it's pretty sad.
and in return, I will go judge your post and be brutally honest! :)

They are some lovely plants/flowers, I would enjoy having a garden someday, when I have my own place.

Thank you so much @thegoliath! I've always enjoyed having a garden of some kind, but as I've moved from my place to apartment living, a few pots on the balcony is as good as it gets :) One day, I hope you will have your own place to enjoy a garden of your own!

Your little balcony area like like an oasis! I love the white walls and the contrast of the pink and yellow and the green plants. I would love to sit out here and just, be. So nice that it's in the shade. I can imagine Mexico in the summer time is hot, hot, hot!

Thank you @rainbowrachel! You hit the nail on the head; I love to go out there and just be :) There's always a new birds' nest and babies to see, and just watching the world go by.

It is hot hot hot for sure. Today is about 42 degrees and humid. July is the hottest month of the year I think, so thankfully, the balcony is shaded by late morning or I'd never get to use it :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

you have such a vibrant balcony.. I loved the hibiscus, I always do, my parents home have a huge garden and they grow different varieties of Hibiscus and more.. I love its color..you brought back old memories....<3

awww thank you for saying that @itravelarts! I love when a post brings back a memory to me; such a special feeling <3 I'm so glad you experienced that here!!

Your balcony looks SOOOOO inviting!! And your plants and container garden is looking so healthy!

Thank you so much @goldendawne! It is certainly my place to take some deep breaths and just be!

I enjoyed reading this. Totally refreshing! If I only have the space I’ll surely have my own hammock!😂

haha yes, the hammock is the best part about the entire space :)

Thanks for stopping by @michellpiala, I'm glad you enjoyed my post :)

Very nice and lovely garden & plants...
Seeing them makes us feel fresh...

Thanks & have a lovely day, dear friend @lynncoyle1...

Thank you @zaimrofiqi! You're absolutely right!! There's something about plants that makes us feel "fresh" :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

wao that beautiful Hibiscus, I am surprised that so small have so many flowers, you know how to cultivate very well, I congratulate you! 😉

I got lucky with that one @blessed-girl, but thank you so much for the lovely comment!! :)

Your balcony garden looks wonderful! I love hibiscus, but never had much luck growing them myself. There were other things that took off way more than I could have imagined, like a bougainvillea that over took the house!

Say hi to Brian! We're thinking of him always!

hahaha those bougainvilleas can be invasive, that's for sure! I think it's the heat that the hibiscus loves; it's stays plenty hot all night, so it grows 24-7 I think :)

He says hi back :) Thank you from both of us!! :)

I heard that worm castings were good for hibiscus. So, I even starting raising worms for compost. The worms were doing well for quite a while until our grandson fed them something salty and it killed them. It never did much for the hibiscus anyway.

hahaha that sounds like a real mess and nothing else :)

I had a neighbor once who used to keep her worm compost in the kitchen in a big Rubbermaid with the lid half on. Used to just gross me out ;)

Actually, they weren't too much of a mess, but I did keep them in the garage. They loved coffee grounds. I thought about making one for dog poop, but I would have to keep that one outside. It got too hot in Florida for that to work.

But you kept it in the garage, not by the kitchen table lol

eww that would be a hot stinking mess, but the dog poop compost is a great idea if you can ever get it to work!

I had to keep them in the garage so the dogs couldn't get to it. You know they would. If you do it right it won't stink as long as you don't over feed your crawlies.
The poop compost would work fine. However, if your dogs are on any kind of meds that might kill the worms. Also, you need to be careful where you use the poop compost. Like you wouldn't want it on your veggie plants.
Like Kermit used to say "It's not easy being green!"

hahaha @rwedegis, no I would not want it on my veggie plants!!

Quoting Kermit! That's awesome 😅

i like this post, i think i need some indoor pot plants too!

Thank you @dj123! And I think that sounds like a great idea :)

Beautiful plants. It is awesome that you have re-oriented yourself to learn the intricacies of the growing process in Mexico. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you @papacrusher! It was that or have a bunch of dead plants to stare at haha

Thanks for popping by :)

Hibiscus really like the tropical weather, they can be found every where here! Enjoy you weekend on your hammock!

Yes, they sure do thrive here all over @roselifecoach. I had a little nap in it again today lol Such a bad habit hahaha

Thank you for stopping by 😅

Oh, I loveeee naps!!

hahaha I just saw this @roselifecoach!! Naps are the best :) I don't know why they are often only reserved for babies and toddlers? :)

LOL. I had mine today. We should learn more from babies. And those adults who dislike naps, they miss the taste of heaven on Earth :p

haha @roselifecoach, that describes it exactly!!

Hahahahaha!

Haha, I really like you kept the dead tree. ;0)
The balcony is looking better every time.

Now that we've been suffering from high temperatures and extreme drought this last month, I can now relate to how difficult it must be to keep plants alive when you live in Mexico, lol.

That red and green plant is really awesome, by the way 💜

Ha thanks! I think I'm going to wind the shoots from the other plant up and around them :)

Thank you for the compliment about my little space too! It's 9pm here now, and I set up outside with the coconut light on, glass of wine, my computer, but now the internet's not working out there. Ugh!

Good post. I like your pictures

What beautiful little plant babies you have there!

Upovted and following! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much @stirling; that's so sweet of you to say 😅

ur hibiscus is amazing! Love the other plants too, so green! I'm in socal, so maybe not as hot, but still pretty hot (esp lately with the heatwaves...) I wasn't the best plant mom with my cactus, so I'm trying to get that revived, tho my succulents are still hanging on. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for noticing @corinneiskorean 😅 Yes, you guys are having a wicked heat wave, along with half the world it seems!!
