Hi all.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Garnish Island last weekend it is stunning and has plenty of history to go with it.

It is a 37 acre island and it is the former home of the Bryce family. It was gifted to the Irish State in 1953. Its gardens are world famous. If you are ever in Ireland I highly recommend this place to visit.

The above image is The Italian Garden which was designed by English Architect and garden designer Harold Peto.

Below is a image of a garden lawn which was used an area for sports. This lawn is just before the walled garden.

Here also is one of the side gates which is beautiful have a look below.

Here below is the Tower in the North Western section of the walled garden it is very beautiful.

Here is the opposite Southern corner in walled garden.

Check out this beautiful area of the walled garden on the southern side.

Here is a closer look at this area.

Here is another corner building in the North Eastern Section of the walled garden.

It was such a pleasure to visit here. It is on the Wild Alantic Way in South West Cork. I highly recommend going here.

On the map below Glengarriff is just west of Bantry in West Cork.
