Hello 🤗 everyone. I am so glad to participate in this gastronomy contest created by @nahela and @karianaporras. This is my first time attending a gastronomy class. I must say that it was really interesting. I learned the importance of choosing a drink that complements the food menu. I will try to implement that in this contest.


Alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, which is the best option for you to accompany a menu? Tell us.

I prefer non-alcoholic drinks. Naturally, I do not like alcoholic drinks. I would always go for non- alcoholic drinks whenever I eat out. So, non-alcoholic drinks is the best option for me to accompany a menu.


We would like you to prepare a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to accompany a dish (starter, main course or dessert). It is important to explain the preparation process and the result of the drink only. (quantity for 1 person)

I prepared Orange juice. The only ingredient I used is Orange.

I cut each Orange into two equal halves

I squeezed out the juice from the Oranges using the plain juicer

I accompanied the Orange Juice with Jollof rice ( a main dish) with carrot as a vegetable and Tuna fish as protein.

Why did you choose this drink and dish combination?

The Jollof rice is spicy. I chose Orange juice because it is sweet and it will complement the spice in the rice. Also, the weather has been cold lately. I chose Jollof rice because it is hot and will serve as a source of heat to the body. And orange juice helps prevent inflammation which can be aggravated by the cold weather.


I am happy I could participate in this contest. I learnt a number of things from the gastronomy class. I would like to invite @mercybliss, @blessedbee and @goodybest to participate in this contest.

Orange juice can be enjoyed without adding sugar. I love it that way because it is natural and good for the body.
