Gato Persa

in gatos •  3 years ago

The Persian cat is a breed of cat characterized by a broad, flat face and a large, abundant coat of various colors. They are commonly considered as aristocratic cats (75% of registered pedigree cats are Persians). The first Persian cats were introduced to Italy from Persia (now Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan) in the 1620s and their descendants were called by many names. The current Persian branch developed in the late 1800s in England and is derived from the Turkish Angora cat.
