I think this is the best statement I've heard today. "This is America, you don't fine companies, you lock up poor people" It was in reference to the new GDPR ( General Data Protection Regulation) that's going into effect on May 25th 2018. And, if these regulations had been effect during the Experian data breach, the fine could've been up to $1.5 billion
