The recent news that Cartoon Network is rebooting Thundercats, a cult-favorite toy-selling cartoon from the 1980s, into a comedic merchandise-driven cartoony series for kids has caused an internet uproar from fans of the old series.

Much of the response focused on the art-style of the new series which is a far cry from the serious, detailed look of the old Cats.
Adding fuel to the fire is that the creators seemed to be responding to the fans' and haters' comments. Not usually a good move if you're just going to engage at this point. I think the best thing they can do is to just continue making their show. If it's good, it'll win the fans over. You can't really do much to convince haters.
