Gekko Trading Bot - Run Trade Bot / Paper Trader from CLI

in gekko •  7 years ago

Now you should be all ready, having setup backtesting and importing via command line.

  1. Make a copy of config.js and call it config-trader.js.
  2. Setup exchange and trade pair in config.watch (if haven’t already done so from previous videos).
  3. Set candleWriter to true to store market data to disk (for backtest, troubleshoot trade executions).
  4. Set paperTrader to true and config.trader to false if paper trading. Set paperTrader to false and config.trader to true if setting up bot.
  5. Setup paperTrader or trader.
  6. Set debug to true and add config.silence to false for Gekko to tell you if it is able to stitch together historical data and live data to eliminate warm up period.
  7. Run Gekko.

node gekko - -config config-trader.js > log.txt
