Like mangoes, cotton fruit makes one drool if they have an experience eating the fruit. This fruit is sour on thr outside but the pulp is sweet. I often just skin it a little bit and leave some of the outer cover and the seeds and dip it in a little bit of salt. Just like how it is in the picture. I think not everyone knows this fruit because this is native to the tropics just like the Philippines.
