I know that a lot of activists want to pretend that kids can consent, and that children who still believe in Santa are fully capable of deciding to go on cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers.
The thing is, the research has been done. Most kids who were formally diagnosed with gender dysphoria are no longer gender dysphoric after puberty. In fact, most girls end up identifying with their biological sex, with heterosexual orientations. Most boys end up identifying with their biological sex with homosexual or bisexual orientations.
So, even if we were responsible enough to only use puberty blockers and hormones on kids who are formally diagnosed as gender dysphoric, which most activists don't want us to be, we're still more likely than not to transition a kid who will eventually decide that he or she does identify with his or her biological sex.
These data aren't hidden behind pay walls. People can find the data if they care to look. We've gotta be real at some point that this isn't about saving kids' lives. It's an agenda.
