I don't know about you, but I love a good debate. This specific debate was amazingly informative and I felt like you - ALL of you - should check it out. So often people want to debate me and I am so new and trying to understand what is going on, it's hardly my place to try. Here I found two brilliant minds debating Geoengineering; Dane Wigington of Geoengineeringwatch.org and Professor Doug Macmartin from Caltech.

Caltech

Caltech is the moniker of the California Institute of Technology, a

private doctorate-granting university located in Pasadena, California and is considered one of the leading universities in the world in science and technology.

The Professor debating with Dane Wigington of Geoengineeringwatch.org is Douglas MacMartin., who teaches at Caltech and has written papers discussing such concepts as Geoengineering as a design problem and using feedback to manage uncertainty in solar geoengineering.

It's fascinating to hear two arguably brilliant minds discuss whether or not Geoengineering is happening; how weather management IS in fact being used and the different difficulties in utilizing Geoengineering from polarized viewpoints. You know you want them to tell you so here, listen:

Issues

I hate to be trite, however I feel like if some people who argue against the facts of Geoengineering might want to focus on some of the more petty issues, such as the two gentlemen debating semantics, the Professor hurling swear words and Mr. Wigington taking his allotted time.

Yes, fine. The moderator could have done a better job and these two men who obviously hold vastly different viewpoints and are equally passionate about their points. However, I think the points made are extremely valuable and should be listened to regardless.

Here's the bottom line for me; TL;DR if you will. Professor MacMartin could not and would not state that Geoengineering is NOT happening. In fact, he confirmed with a disturbing nonchelance that we 'know' that Climate Control happens, that it's 'well documented'. The rest of his argument seemed to be about semantics.

Which is telling all in itself.

All in all, let's keep talking, keep listening to one another and not continue with the squabbling back and forth. Is Geoengineering happening? Of course it is, even the professor wouldn't say otherwise. Keep asking, keep learning and keep looking up!
