It has always been easy for me to pick up pretty stones, but as much as I want to know what they are, I have trouble identifying them. I look at this and guess agate or jasper. If you can tell, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

I bought this one in a rock shop where it wasn't identified. I remember at the time, being fascinated with red agate. We had picked some up on the southern shore of Manitoulin Island where we could look out to see the Duck Islands. Apparently, there is an abandoned agate mine there.

That is such a awesome looking stone @kansuze!
I'm no expert but I have walked a few beaches! lol
Agate mine close by could be this rock is a straggler
from there. It does look like some red jasper going on
and some conglomerate on the bottom.
First view of the thumbnail on my feed I thought it
was a sharks tooth by the shape sorta. I wanna say
the red looks like Carnelian.

@rt395 would be able to tell you more about this
very cool Fridays rock! :-)

Thanks @shasta!

Yes, it looks like jasper. It also looks like a tooth! Maybe a Rock Biter's molar?(Never Ending Story reference)

Thank you @rt395. I was hoping you would drop by.

Yes, it is jasper. The bottom part is brecchia. Now you have some googling to do ;)

Thanks! I will too.

Beautiful stone!
I think this is jasper.
It is interesting to learn other opinions.
