Protests sparked by the death of Mr. Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died after a white police officer held him down with a knee on his neck, unfolded across a nation already deep in crisis amid the coronavirus pandemic. More than 100,000 people in the U.S. have died from the fast-spreading disease and tens of millions of Americans have filed for unemployment.
