Terrifying Encounters While Renting Last Year- A second thought incurs profound fear

The third incident was also the most bizarre. On March 11th, which was a weekend, my boyfriend and I planned to go to a large square in the city to relax and forget about the strange things that had happened a few days before, which had affected our mood for several days and kept replaying in our minds even when we were working. When I think back on it now, I still can't help but feel a shiver down my spine, including when I'm recalling and writing about it in this article, which is making me break out in a cold sweat. My boyfriend and I were using navigation to ride our electric scooter to a square, and we went to the RT-Mart supermarket and bought some fresh frozen fish and a plush doll of Kirby.

When we returned home, it was already dark outside. After taking a shower and tidying up some small items on the desk, I placed the doll on the desk in front of the mirror. The desk has several layers that can hold a lot of things, with each layer divided into grids. The bottom layer is attached to a mirror, which is equivalent to a dressing mirror, and I often sit there to comb my hair while looking at myself in the mirror.

At this point, I thought of my mother and took a picture of the newly tidied desk, showing off the plush doll I had just bought for a little over ten yuan. My mother didn't reply immediately, so I put down my phone and opened my computer to work on today's tasks. When I picked up my phone again, it was already past ten o'clock and my tasks were almost done. My boyfriend sat on the bed and looked at me, saying, "Are you finished? I didn't want to disturb you earlier when you were so focused, but it looks like someone just messaged you on your phone."

Because I'm a person who is always silent and my phone has no notification sound, not even a ringing tone for calls. I'm tired of noisy sounds and hate the sudden notifications from social apps that startle me, which can be a bit scary at times.

I picked up my phone and saw that there was no red dot on the WeChat icon. I noticed that my mother's conversation was at the top of the list, with the last message being a picture. I remembered that the last message I sent was a text saying "Look at how clean I've tidied up." I was curious and opened my mother's conversation to find several messages I had never seen before.

At 20:45, I sent a picture with some text. At 21:10, my mother replied, "What is that?" and circled the Kirby doll in the picture with a red pen. At 21:12, I apparently sent another picture to my mother, this time a close-up of the Kirby doll. It seemed like I was replying to my mother to let her see it more clearly, but I didn't add any explanation in the text.

I didn't pay much attention to it and assumed my boyfriend had replied for me. I turned to him and said, "You replied for me, right?"

My boyfriend looked confused and said, "What did I reply? I haven't touched your phone."

He hadn't finished speaking when I immediately opened the picture again. I wanted to use the reflection in the mirror to see who took the picture, but a terrifying scene appeared - there was no one in the mirror even though the picture clearly showed the doll facing the mirror.

My face turned cold in an instant. I showed the picture to my boyfriend and we were both scared and unable to explain what was happening. It affected us for a while and we had nightmares every night, dreaming of the presence of another person in the house that we couldn't see. In this strange atmosphere, every time we came home, we pushed open the door with heavy hearts and uneasy emotions.
