Hey everybody! It feels good to be back! As we continue down the road, @freedompoint and I should start finding our new groove, and hopefully no more breaks in content! Also, if you would like to write a post or donate content to the GHSC, please let us know!

Our first post today is by @homestead-guru! This post gives a couple great recipes for tomatoes and a trick for starting next years tomato plants! I loved how well this was put together. Please check it out!

Are tomatoes coming out of your ears, yet? Personally, I (Elizabeth) like to slice them like apples and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. But if you’re feeling more adventurous, there are plenty of delicious, seasonal recipes to use up all of those wonderful tomatoes.

This post was a fun find! Now, I've only tried okra once...and it didn't go well! 😂 But after watching this video by @thecitystead, I am really reconsidering it! Please check it out!

Now that I'm back to work it's a little harder to get the videos made but here is some stuff we did about a favorite of mine OKRA! I tried to have a little fun with it.

I'm afraid, but I have to ask how an experience with okra can be bad.

Ohhh let me count the ways @nateonsteemit! We cooked it...it was slimey....the end. Hahaha

Frying it keeps the slime down. Batter with egg and corn meal then salt and pepper to taste. That's how I do it, but I'm gonna look into more fancy recipes in the future.

Other than frying, embrace the slime 😂

There are varieties out there that are less slimey. I usually just eat it fresh right off the plant it isn't that slimey and has a great taste
