...continued...

When Bill Gates was still struggling. A boy selling newspapers gave him free newspapers twice with his allowances. When Bill Gate made so much money, he searched everywhere for this little boy. He found him and Bill said,

Can you remember me? I was the one you gave two free newspapers at two different times when I told you I couldn’t afford it. Now I have come to repay you.

The boy smiled and said:

I know you. You are the richest man in the world. You can never repay me because I gave to you when I had nothing, you are coming to give to me when you have everything.

When they asked Bill who is the wealthiest person he knows, he mentioned that boy. Giving is important as you can never know when you will reap it, and you can always know that since the timing of your help is different, you can never be fully compensated.

Giving is not giving until you give to someone who might never be able to repay you.

Give with a plain heart. Giving lovingly. Give willingly. Give faithfully. Give heartily. Give diligently. Give sacrificially. Give without expecting anything in return. Do not give grudgingly. Give tirelessly.

When you give, it is also important for those who received never to forget. Bill Gates had to look for that small boy. Giving comes with a feeling of remembrance as it spurs those who give the needed strength to continue.

We are all human as earlier said in the previous part of this topic, so everyone needs a bit of encouragement to continue doing what they have decided to do. A simple thank you and appreciation would be fine because we can never repay an act of giving, even if we decided to give 10 times over what we received from that same person.

To fully settle it, the conditions and timing have to be the same at the time we received ours and we can be sure that it is always a rare occurrence.

Thank you for your time.

I am fortunate that I often meet with great people. Not great thought, but great action.

I am so amazed and respectful of people whose lives think more and do more for things outside of themselves.

They no longer think only of themselves. He was melting into a minister for his outside interests. Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Muhammad Yunus is a real example.

Is the need for a meaningful life like this to be dominated only by people of their caliber? Apparently not.

Maslow mentioned that this is our need, too, at a higher level. Self-actualization.

Anthony Robbins - because I often hear the CDs - also often repeat the same thing with different terms. We need a meaningful life. Significance.

We should envy those who touch and make a difference to the lives of others. They are the glowing lights that illuminate the way of the people.

I think we can do it, no matter how small it is, with what we have today.

It is more blessed to give than to receive

Speak on Ma...

Agreed !! Thank you for such a great article. One should always know the importance of giving. Rich are those who helps everyone, though they do not have anything to survive.

If you are really giving something of value , something of need you must never look back to him for receiving another in exchange for that . Start becoming affable

If you love those who love you, what merit do you have? For sinners also love those who love them (Lk 6:32). The love of God parents is his absolute gratitude

In a nutshell, give to everyone, love everyone and help everyone that ask of it.

Giving is the best there is, we feel more satisfied when give than when receive it.

That is the joy of it, only those that are given to giving can understand this secret.

..............adding more to this beautiful thought.

Some people have nature that they give but are shy to share about there contribution. I have had the honor of knowing a few people like these. I consider there nature not just rare but also the truest to the spirit of being giving to others.

Of course this takes away nothing from those who are not as shy. People are different and that makes it only better. More flower the orchid has, more beautiful it looks :-)

This is such a beautiful article. Thank you for writing this. I can't wait to share this story with others!

Wow, Bill Gates is one of my mentors and since I've been reading about him, I haven't read this instance about him. This is so inspiring. Your pen doesn't bleed indeed but it speaks emotions. Thank you @olawalium

I was blown away when i read the story too. It is simple but embedded with lot of message.

Thanks for your kind words always. Gracias.

You're welcome 😊

Awwwwww!!! Nice and beautiful remembrance of Mr Bill story. Indeed the price at payback can never be comparable to the price at the point of giving(sacrifice). Giving is a good virtue that cant be measured. Giving places you above. NOTE: A giving can be someone else's reward for a certain giving he/she had done before. Giving is Living.images.png.
@olawalium you are a very inspiring writer and i pray that God continue to increase your insight.
But one thing is worthy of note, You can give without Loving but you can't Love without giving. A true giving is from zero not plenty or abundance, the Bill story.
Conclusion; Unfortunately we are to conscious of expectation(getting back) and its as if we are not getting our desire, we give up giving attitude. May the good lord guide our hearts. Not forgetting...good measure pressed down shaken together...
Thanks once again for sharing.

Brilliant comment as usual. Always appreciate your view and kind words. Thanks a lot for that brother. God bless your heart. Many thanks.

Thank you @olawalium, I love the Bill Gates story you shared, I've heard it before but it still looks new and original to me.

Don't hold back the little, it might mean the whole world to the one receiving it.

Nothing is more beautiful than to touch the souls of men with your gifts.

Today is one of the most happiest day for me because I was able to contribute my quota to save the little girl of a friend who was down on the sick bed. Those are the feelings you get when you render help.

Indescribable feeling and a deep sense of satisfaction knowing you made someone go to bed, thankful for coming in contact with you. That's a great feeling to have. God bless your heart.
