Most people are stupid and can be led into anything.

Living alone among the trees with my ole dog, is such a departure from a former life of risk and adventure and travel, at a time when memories seem to be all I need. I've lost many friends over the past few years, nothing much in common with most of them anymore, and even the loss of what's left of family. And the strangeness of it all is what I think is becoming best not to grieve.

I even joke with my best friend now, and tell him, how pathetic is it that you are my best and only real friend today. He was someone I met through my brother, a handyman, really good carpenter, and he helped me get this place together when I moved here 8 years ago. Eventually we became friends.

Truth be told, life is just a journey, and sometimes we get put on hold, because there is no longer anywhere else to go. So, looking forward to another lunch with my friend on Friday.

Can't talk much with him about the greater scheme of things, or that there might be a global conspiracy, none of that. His response is always, most people are stupid and can be led into anything. He is a pale blue eyed, red headed preacher's son.

I'm beginning to agree with him!
