The glory of Solomon: From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world. 1 Kings 4:34

The Bible teaches us the importance of asking God for wisdom, because with her come the other blessings. Solomon, after his coronation, was given the gift of wisdom, and with this gift came prosperity, peace, and well-being in Israel. Solomon grew in riches and glory as wisdom fructified and developed in his mind. Wisdom is a perfection from above and whoever receives her in his heart reaches the likeness of God and the spiritual completeness.
When a wise man governs, he does not do it for personal interests but attending to the highest and the most perfect, the order established by God in creation, because as Saint Thomas Aquinas said, no man is corrupted in the hands of a wise man.
Many stories are told about this great king whose main task was the construction of the first great temple in Jerusalem. With Solomon, the kingdom of Israel reached the height of its glory and splendor, and never recovered it again. If the Bible talks about immortality, it can be said that King Solomon reached it to the highest degree, his example is still remembered today and is a source of inspiration for believers of numerous religions.
This is how the Bible describes the glory and wisdom achieved by this mythical king:
"God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kakol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom" 1 Kings 4:29-34.
