Every new year comes, there will be a pile of new year's goals published in the circle of friends.

To take the postgraduate entrance examination, to lose weight, to learn English, to read a book every day, to watch 100 movies

None of these goals will be achieved, so they will be repeated next year.

Why do you often fail to achieve your goals?

The first thing to be doubted is my executive ability. I'm too lazy. I don't insist and I don't work hard.

My biggest experience in setting goals is to set fewer goals.

First of all, you really can't have too many goals, and there needs to be unity between them.

Many people's goals conflict with each other. They have to lose weight, read books, learn English, take the postgraduate entrance examination and keep some fun in life.

These are conflicting goals.

There are many propositions of balance in life, which may take a lifetime to master, such as how to balance family and career.

You have to add many contradictory goals, and the result is that the more conflicts you have, the more confusion you will have.

If you want to lose weight, don't take the postgraduate entrance examination. If you want to take the postgraduate entrance examination, don't lose weight.

Otherwise, you will not be able to act at all. You will not be able to do this or that. You will be flustered and push everything forward, but you can't do it well. After all, your time, energy and willpower are limited.

Many successful people are not born with strong self-control and succeed in everything.
