One aspect of making this happen is finding a retail/studio space. The more I look, the less I see anything remotely what I am looking for or the space is amazing but the rent is astronomical. I feel a bit like my goal has been immured, bricked up, door shut firmly. I'm still searching, hoping, and praying to find the perfect place with some amazing potential.
A few months ago, I took this photo of a building in a tiny town. As I was shooting a few other things in the area, I noticed this space on the side of the building where clearly either a door or large window had, at one point, existed and was now removed the space bricked up. I'm beginning to wonder, if the door closes on my dream, will it be closed? Locked? Removed and bricked over!? I might just need to bulldoze through that metaphorical wall.....
