The faith of Paul: You must stand before the emperor. Indeed, God has given to you the lives of everyone who is sailing with you. Acts 27:24

Just as all four gospels have Jesus as their main character, the Book of Acts has a central physical character, the apostle Paul. This apostle is presented in the Book of Acts as the main example of what forgiveness, redemption, and the love of Christ mean, a love that does not take into account the wrong received and that is unconditional as in the parable of the prodigal son.
The apostle Paul is ultimately the example that every Christian who accepts the faith in the name of Jesus should imitate, and the Book of Acts constantly highlights this fact in its accounts of the apostle. The Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, with its spiritual gifts and miracles spread to the pagan world through the actions of this remarkable apostle and doctor. The Book of Acts relates that Paul was a guided, enlightened, and inspired person through the gifts he received from the Holy Ghost after his conversion to the faith on the way to the city of Damascus, and the Book of Acts expresses this spiritual truth with these words: "However, the Holy Spirit warns me in every city that imprisonment and suffering are waiting for me" Acts 20:23.
And a very important moment in Paul's life was when his faith was put to the test on his last great journey, his trip to the imperial capital, Rome, to be judged by the emperor. Paul had received the prophecy that he would suffer imprisonment after his third missionary journey, but the apostle accepted his fate fearing God more than men. And so after a riot in the temple of Jerusalem and a long judicial process Paul was taken to be judged in Rome.
The Book of Acts relates that while sailing near the island of Malta, the ship that was carrying him suffered a shipwreck, but in the face of this event, Paul told the crew with faith that an angel said to him these words: "You must stand before the emperor. Indeed, God has given to you the lives of everyone who is sailing with you" Acts 27:24. Paul's words finally came true, and on that island Paul preached and formed a Church to be taken later to Rome where he spent his last days teaching everything related to the Lord Jesus Christ.
