It's going to be terrible in the last days because of the character of these people.
What's crazy about this verse is it's not pertaining to the world but the church.
Not atheism but in the church.
This verse is talking about the people who have some form of godliness. They keep learning & learning but never really come to the knowledge of the truth.
The reason why it's going to be terrible in the last days is because in the church people are going to be lovers of self.
They're actually going to love pleasure rather than really loving God.
People are so in love with people - with themselves. They're going to love money because they love themselves. Why are they proud, arrogant & abusive? Because they love themselves, they don't care about others.
Loving yourself is not love it's the opposite.
It's even crept in the leadership as well, when one loves seeing their name on things - becoming lovers of self rather than lovers of God.
We even attract people into the church through pleasure because they're going to be rich.
You want to be rich, you want a good family? Come to the church because it's all about you. God will give you this. So they come to church wanting this stuff, wanting these pleasure but not really wanting God.
It's not okay to be all about yourself in church because it's not about you.
In the last days this is what's going to happen - the bible says be careful.
There's a saying a man can either be a protector or a predator.
You want to save the world but don't leave the gospel behind.
If you're teaching God's words but not offending anyone than you're deceiving yourself.
I understand this is the norm now, but not you. Not the church.
Heal the church, purify her & make her beautiful again.
