Silence in this context refers to refraining from speaking up or taking action in the face of strong expectations. It is remaining silent and doing nothing when action is required. Not receiving a response from God when you most need him or when you feel he ought to act or react on a matter is one of the most upsetting experiences in life and in faith. Most of the time, it causes you to feel let down, betrayed, confused, and if the feeling and circumstance are not handled swiftly and correctly, they may even cause depression and relapse. Regardless, God's quiet does not always imply that he has given up on a situation. It does not imply that he is uncertain or conflicted. Achieving complete, effective control over all of men's affairs is not a sign of weakness or lack of determination. He is always in charge. But he makes his own decisions on the moment to act and the way to intervene. Before anything ever starts, he is aware of every situation. He has influence over it in its current state and is aware of its ultimate outcome. Nothing catches him off guard. Nothing frightens him. Therefore, he may make decisions without relying on our judgement, feelings, or opinions. Yes, we want to discuss the instances in which you don't receive God's instant replies, guidance, judgments, or answers to your prayers or expectations. When you've done everything you can and it still seems like he's not reacting, you're not sure what to do next. I'm referring to times when heaven and God are silent.
You will concur with me that we must first consider the immortal, unforgettable words of the great King David, who was courageous, smart, spiritual, poetic, unflappable, and humble but powerful "O LORD, my rock, I pray to you. Do not ignore what I am saying. Because if you keep quiet, I might as well give up and pass away. As I raise my hands to your sacred temple and plead for rescue, please heed my plea for mercy." Psalm 28:1-2. Wow! You heard that, right? With his word choice, this individual has the ability to place God in a very difficult situation. It makes sense why his prayers are always heard. He adores outcomes. He carefully plans and carries out his actions and words, whether he is on his knees or in the middle of a conflict. Yes, it is encouraging to hear from a veteran. He had witnessed God's miraculous, extraordinary, spectacular, quick responses, and deliverances. In addition, he gave him delays, reprimands, near-fatal, dangerous, and silent warnings. He was aware of the distinctions. He appeared to be in dire need of supernatural assistance in this situation, yet it appeared that heaven was completely mute. Before we return to the peaceful periods, let's take a quick look at the times he relished quick reactions. Do you agree with that?
After learning that David had been proclaimed king of Israel, the Philistines sent their entire army to arrest him. However, David fled to his stronghold and made an appeal to the LORD from there. God responded and helped him defeat the Philistines. They eventually returned, and this time God granted Israel the victory. Always be ready because the enemy will make an effort to resurface. Following the passing of Saul and Jonathan, David asked the LORD a question, and the LORD instructed him to return to Judah. But he continued on after that. He went one step farther and asked the LORD which city he should settle in, and the LORD replied, "Hebron!" Wow! He is constantly seeking to understand God's clear intention. The men of Judah gathered to formally enthrone him as their king there. You will be crowned when you move in God's will. True. David and his troops were raided by the Amalekites, who burnt Ziklag and stole their wives and children. David cried out to God, and the LORD commanded him to go after the raiders so that he may return everything that had been taken from him. So he did. Additionally, he begged God fervently numerous times to shield him from the psychotic, raging King Saul. Heaven always responded quickly to David.
But eventually, this wonderful connection soured. And I think that's when the king composed some of those moving Psalms that vividly depict the condition of a guy who was estranged from God and urgently sought a return to that wonderful, innocent relationship. When our beloved David was enduring the most trying times of his life, God appeared to be silent and heaven to be shut. He begged, sobbed, and repented, but the line of misfortunes just wouldn't stop. Amnon, a beloved son, sexually assaulted his half-sister. Absalom, a different desired "beautiful" son, killed the rapist and fled to exile. From there, he started formulating plans to depose his father. Ultimately, he was successful in driving David off the throne and out of Jerusalem, taking his best allies and counselors, and even raping his father's wives in front of the people. Absalom the Prodigal was determined to destroy his father's legacy and life. At one point, the formerly mighty, majestic, and anointed David, who was sobbing and wearing sackcloth, declared that he was vanishing into the wilderness. My God! Tears. Because heaven has chosen to remain silent regarding his affairs, all these things have happened to the man after God's heart. You're still unsure of the cause of his screams "LORD, deliver me. Don't be silent, please, or I'll give up and die." He was correct, too. Yes, there will be major problems if God does not intervene in a timely manner. There may be times when we feel like giving up or even dying. Does God currently seem silent about you and your circumstances? You may not even have made a mistake, but all of a sudden you realize that nothing in your life is progressing anymore. We'll keep going.
