The hunt for this treasure began In 2010 when Forrest Fern published a poem that revealed the location to the bronze chest.

Thousands of people have searched for this buried treasure after they believed they had solved the clues in the poem.

d4.jpgI hid that treasure chest when I was 80. I have told people don't search anywhere where an 80-year-old man can't hide a treasure chest.

The gold is in the Rocky Mountains ,somewhere between Santa Fe and the Canadian border at an elevation above 5,000 feet. It's not in a mine, a graveyard or near a structure."

This is this the poem written by Forrest Fern that leaves clues to his buried treasure .

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.

I saw this somewhere before, maybe the travel channel or something. Maybe ill have to make a trip out west. Sounds like a good time if nothing else.

I live in Colorado and my wife recently turned me on to this challenge. Might need to become a part-time treasure hunter.

More then 4 people have apparently died looking for this treasure.

Я понимаю что Вы сами забыли где спрятали этот сундук, может он давным довно сгнил и ничего там нет, это большая, большая шутка.
