So many prospectors I meet and talk with have one burning question on their lips, 'I have no water where I am, how can I find gold?'.
Well if you're not lucky enough to live in nugget country a use a detector there is another way. Dry panning.
That's right you can still pan, its a bit slower and more labour intensive but its every bit as effective.
Concentrate on working bedrock and crevices, identify the 'mellow' or pay layer and go like hell.
Collect the concentrates in a bucket and pan them off with water at home with a beer in hand.
For 10ish pans of dirt I walked away with around 30 specks of gold from just one crevice without a drop of water in sight!
Let me know if you dry pan already!
