There's something about the golden hour, when the sun rises or sets that gives me that feeling of calm. Like, no matter what craziness is going on in your life, everything is okay for those moments as you watch the display of the light leaving for the day or being renewed in the morning. It's almost a 'stop the world' moment.
Having to get up early for work was sometimes made more bearable if I got to catch the sunrise as I left. Sadly, I never had the time to view it for long as I the duty of work called.
One of our favourite things to do when we go to the beach is stay around long enough to watch the sun go down. This was taken on my eldest daughter's 16th birthday at Glenelg beach. With it being a special landmark age she got to choose her day. A giant ice cream and watching the sunset at the beach was her choice!
