aw that's cute. we had a Golden Retriever called Sandy and my Mum wanted her to have a litter just once so she could be a mum. It was an amazing childhood experience but heartbreaking seeing them all leave. She had seven puppies and they were the best fun ever. Writing this, I can smell them, even though it was many, many years ago. The puppies had a very strong and distinctive smell. I assume so mum doesn't lose them. Dogs have very good noses !!
