Llyod Blankfein retired from Goldman Sachs. Unfortunately for him, it might not be a case of riding off into the sunset.
Malaysia now filed criminal charges against Goldman Sachs for violating securities laws by lying about bond agreements. This took place over a 3 year period.
The challenge for Blankfein is that he was aware of the transactions and participated in meetings about them.
This follows up charges filed in Singapore, Switzerland, and elsewhere. It also is most likely a foreshadow to what the U.S. DOJ is going to do.
