Jinja is Uganda's second town after Kampala, although it doesn't always come across that way.
With its derelict Main Street and the impression of a town that peaked 40 years ago, the town is in urgent need of a breathing in of new life and infrastructure upgrades.
Still, it remains Uganda's leading destination for western tourists and second after Kampala in light industrial manufacturing and processing.
Jinja also ranks fifth in the number of Kampala Express followers after Kampala, Mbarara, Entebbe and Nairobi. (PHOTO: Sewakiryanga Ivan/Campusjuice)
