I've read a lot of mystery thrillers not a ton but I've read a lot and this one is different than any of the ones I've ever read so I think that gives it a lot of points in my book one thing

src

I predicted but the rest of it I didn't and the fact that it took me by surprise really made me love it so that's all I'm gonna say about that I really enjoyed this audiobook next

I checked this ebook out of my library it is the familiar dark by Amy Engle this is her newest release that came out this year I believe yeah it came out March 31st of this year and

I've read all of a me Engels other books my favorite from her is the book of IV duology it's a whi dystopian duology but it's so good definitely best duology I've ever read one of my

all-time favorite series altogether her writing just I connect to it so much her writing makes everything just feel so real to me it's fleshed out without dragging I can read her books so

quickly like her for me her writing just flows but also isn't too fast pace to where it's skipping over important developments I really love reading her works this next book in the familiar

dark I ended up giving 4 out of 5 stars maybe a little bit higher 4.25 I thought it was excellently written it wasn't necessarily what I was expecting but I liked it a lot it's about a

mother named Eve and she is on a quest to get justice for her daughter that was murdered on the local playground her daughter was 12 I believe and it was actually her daughter and her

friend that were both brutally murdered on this playground set in the poorest part of the Missouri Ozarks I love books set in small towns and I felt like the town in this book was almost

its own character and the theme of poor versus wealthy was explored in this book and I thought it was done well so that was one part I really enjoyed about it but basically this book is all

about Eve grieving from her daughter's loss but then also setting out to find answers and justice whenever the cops and sheriffs in the town don't seem to really be too interested in doing that for various reasons.
