Good Vibes Week #7, great songs to help find some good vibes!

in goodvibesmusic •  7 years ago  (edited)

I've been thinking a lot lately about some small things that I could do every day to be a bit more positive. And I have decided that my answer has been there for me my whole life... I just didn't realize it, until now. The idea hit me and almost knocked me over!
---It's music.---

Week #7's first up is Rock Show by Halestorm!

As soon as I hear those first few beats in this song, I'm bobbing my head and grooving with it. Plus I'm a huge fan of going to concerts (surprise, surprise) and I feel that this song is a great representation of the emotion you feel when watching live music that you love. And Halestorm is music I love! Unfortunately I have yet to see them live, but I hope to soon. I'm always checking out female fronted bands both rock and metal genres, and this was one I found along the way! This band has really surprised me with great new songs over and over again. And not all are heavy... one song called Dear Daughter is a beautiful piano song, sometimes with just Lzzy Hale and her piano, sometimes it's a live show where she plays piano first and switches to guitar for a solo. Plus they also do great acoustic. There's even a song called Shatter Me by amazing violinist Lindsey Stirling that has Lzzy Hale singing and it's just a great song and video! I'm probably going to say that you'll see more of this bands songs on the Good Vibes list eventually. ;)

Second song up tonight is My Last Serenade by Killswitch Engage!

This band is definitely one you will be seeing on the Good Vibes roll call more in the future! I have loved Killswitch for so many years and even through the back and forth of singers, I have loved almost every thing they've come out with since the early 2000's! This is one of the many bands that I have been able to experience live, and it was one amazing time! I'm a sucker for live shows and could probably be rich if I didn't go to so many shows, but hey... where's the fun in that, right? Ha! I chose one of their earlier songs because this is the first time I've shared them on Good vibes, so look forward to hearing some of their new stuff later on. This band has been there for me, giving me some amazing positive vibes for more than 18 years, and also some great to songs to sing along with while in the car and shower! I love both Jesse Leech's and Howard Jones' vocal abilities and believe that they both brought a certain different twist to one amazing band. So it's almost like I, as a young adult, got to grow along side of this band through the years. Some good times, some hard times, but always some great music and memories! And I'm sure that if I live to be 85, I'll be rocking these guys in my earbuds and headbanging down the hall of a nursing home in my wheel chair. Throwing the horns!

So there you have my Good Vibes #7. I hope you've enjoyed the songs and maybe got a better outlook on your day from them as I have! I'm going to try and make a post every week of a few songs that give me good vibes and positive thoughts, and tag it with #goodvibesmusic! I would love to hear your thoughts and also your good vibe songs! Either post them below or make your own post and tag it! Let's spread some positive music and vibes all over Steemit! Peace!

This music is not mine! Videos are off YouTube.
And these are just my opinions of the songs!

Ahhhh I love killswitch! That songs a cracker! Heavy music has a bit of a stigma for being negative and a lot of it is but a lot is also quite positive and uplifting, thanks for sharing!!

Indeed! Killswitch rocks! ;)
