An anonymous source relayed by our colleagues reveals MacGeneration Free is testing its own connected wizard, like Orange with its intelligent enclosure Djingo. The operator is currently asking its call center employees to register the famous "Ok Freebox" command, which is reminiscent of "Ok, Google". Free seeks "maximum pronunciations and different vocal tessitura," says MacG, which states that call centers employees are made aware of the project operator.

Freebox V7: Free develops a connected wizard, like the Google Assistant!
Adding an intelligent assistant makes sense. Free has never hidden his interest in home automation. At the latest news, the operator's box could even serve as a home automation hub for connected Hue lamps or other devices. A Freebox equipped with a connected wizard could allow to connect an entire ecosystem without having to go through Google Home, HomePod or Amazon Echo, which will land in France on May 23, 2018. Could the Freebox V7 really replace the Google Assistant, Siri or Alexa?

The Freebox V7 will also be equipped with a Devialet soundbar. Equipped with its own intelligent assistant and the advanced technology of the French brand, the Freebox V7 will become both a TV box and as a smart speaker with unique audio quality. According to one patent, Free's box will even be able to play music on several devices at once. By connecting the previous leaks, the theory of a connected assistant does not look so crazy anymore.

"We want to invent something in the box that makes you want to use it by going beyond the TV," said Xavier Niel, the founder of Free. For the time being, it is still unclear whether this connected wizard will be reserved for the high-end version of the Freebox or whether it will be available on both models. The official presentation of the Freebox V7 is expected by the end of this year.
