    2 teaspoons vanilla
    8 eggs
    2 cups milk
    5 cups flour
    1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoon baking powder
    1teaspoon salt

8 large egg whites
1lb (454 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup water
