Malicious software has been discovered on Google Play.
According to the ThreatFabric security company's official blog, the hazardous Android virus Xenomorph was discovered on Google Play.
Fast Cleaner is where the malware hides. It has infected more than 50,000 devices so far.
Once on the victim's device, Xenomorph attempts to obtain sensitive financial information, get access to the victim's accounts, and conduct illicit activities. The malware's creators then sell all of the data collected to interested parties.
