It's actually called A song of Ice and Fire, but since the HBO series - the trainwreck that was the HBO series - named it Game of Thrones, it is actually wiser to title my post like this.
I was actually a big fan of George Martin way before he became mainstream thanks to the multimillion dollar fantasy series, but when I heard that a TV series based in A Song of Ice and Fire was being made, I became anxious.
What if they mess it up? What if they don't manage to portray the story how it is, and they end up making a crappy wannabe fantasy series? It could go two ways, just how The Lord of The Rings went, or exactly how Eragon went.
Granted, both are different kind of books but still, the example speaks for itself.
I have this book collection that in fact I haven't read. I read the stories first in my native language but I still have to read them in the original tongue, which promises to be an incredible experience by itself.
