Discuss your understanding about Typography.

In simple words, typography is the Art of using Text in your designs. If I have designed a poster that is very good-looking and attractive, I have used attractive colors and much more, but if I don't use the text properly, that means this post is not attractive because there is no right of the text in the design. (Typography). You can easily understand it through a simple example which I am providing to you all. Listen if you see a handsome boy wearing decent and beautiful clothes but his way of talking is not impressive, so his personality is not good. In the same way, if your design is very good but there is no typography then the whole design is equal to zero.

Research 3 other typeface categories not captured in this lesson. Talk about them and also give a visual representation of the typefaces.

Serif

The edges of these fonts are known as Serif. Now a question should arise in our mind where this font should be used. Serif is mostly used in classic designs. Like in Newspapers or books etc, the Serif font is used a lot. They are often used in print media for their readability. In printed media, it is used a lot. If are designing for screen posters then we should avoid this font. If are printing a text or in the newspaper as there is a lot of text so in a case serif font is very best idea to choose from.

Sans Serif

Sans means without. In the case of Serif fonts, there are edges but in this case, there are no edges. It is the opposite of Serif fonts. This font is used in Modern designs, Websites Mobile Apps, and much more. This design is used in screen designs.

Decorative

This font is different from Serif and San Serif fonts. In these fonts, there are a lot of categories. Like Script, Gunge Fancy, and much more. We use this font for titles or headings etc only and it is not used for the text. We use it for some words and we don't write much text from it because it is not readable easily. The main target of typography is that the text we are writing should be easily legible, and readable for everyone.
