Hello Greetings, How are you guys? I hope all you are fine and happy. Here welcome to the 3rd week of steemit learning challenge and now for this challenge am going to participate in one the learning challenge that is organized by @lhorgic. So, let's start writing.
Discuss about each of the logo types we have and then talk about conditions when such logo should be used and when not to be used for a brand. You can do a little research to aid you.
In the previous week of this challenge i learned the basics of logo designing and the principle of logo. And in this lesson i also got information about the types of logo so, here in the below i will write about the types of logo after the analyze lesson post. In which post i learned about the 7 types of logo, wordmark logo that's focuses on typography to convey the brand's identity that's easy to remember, versatile, and economical. But it also have some disadvantages that it can be a generic if a unique font is not be chosen.
Monogram Logo (Initials), it is use the brand's initials to form a logo that is easy to remember that it is related to that brand and it can be more distinctive than a wordmark logo.It can be a difficult to read if the initials are not clear like design with difficult font style like advance Italian.
Brand Logo (Pictorial), it is advance and modern type of logo that's use an image or icon to represent the brand. It is more effective then others because it is very distinctive and memorable but it is very difficult to design and change or update. The brand logo is established the brands looking to strengthen their visual identity such as Apple, Nike.
Abstract logo for designing this logo we use unique and original images to represent the brand that's make it very distinctive and easy to remember. But it is difficult to understand that what it's meaning but it is effective for the advertising of brand.
Mascot Logo, for this we use characters or drawing to represent our brand that's make it very attractive and memorable for the target audience for this brand. But it can also be difficult to change or update the logo. KFC logo is the best example of this type of logo.
Logo with emblem, we design this type of logo with the combination of text and image in a geometric shape that make it more distinctive and memorable. But it can be difficult to read if a clear font is not chosen to design this logo. Mostly fast food point and restaurants use this type of logo for representing their brand.
Pick any two (2) of the Logo types discussed and then practically demonstrate how to make them, showing your detailed process.
After analyze above information i will choose wordmark logo and Monogram logo to design my brand logo.
For Wordmark logo i open Canva application and open blank page for designing myn logo then i select the bold font and i choose the black color to represent my brand.
After that i choose my own name as the brand name and then i design Sitara Darcy with the selected fonts. Here in the below the final look of my logo.
After that the same method i applied for the Monogram logo, in which the brand name is Sitara Darcy and it's initials is SD. I choose the Cinzel Decorative font for designing my brand logo. I select black and white colors for it. Here is the final look of my monogram type logo of my brand.
Now here this is my 2 designs that i used to design for presenting my brand. I hope you like my efforts to design this logo. Thank you so much for reading this.
Design a simple flier for your brand and then strategically place one of the logo you made in the flier.
Here on the above you can see i design the flier of my brand because my brand is presenting a bakery & cake shop so i design flier regarding to members prize who regularly shop cake and bakery items from my bakery. All the members get special discount on each products. So, it is good flier for the advertising of my bakery brand.
Here am going to stop my writing i hope you love and enjoy my participation. I invite my friends @suboohi, @stef1, @josepha for participating in this challenge
