Who deserved to be praised more, the grass root coach or the an elite coach? Permit me to once again bring to this noble platform another issue that is currently generating a lot of debate for and against. I had done my own personal research and realised that coaching is a process of teaching or disseminating information to athletes both to enhance performance or fine tune athletes for optimum results.
From the above description of what coaching is,it is clear that this is a continuous process that must be started by by someone through a developmental process that will involved series of pain taking and commitment.
A grassroot coach is every players first coach he or she is the one that usually delivered the first teaching and learning of fundamental basic skills to the young players at their chosen choice of sports.
As easy as it may seems, it is not at all. The Coach will for sure bring himself down to the level of this kids, he sometimes need to encouraged them to be committed to the even when the kids seems lost and tired of the game. What many people don't no about the grassroot coach is that many of them don't get paid at all, especially from a typical less developed area or country.
Grassroot coaches are definitely the set of coaches that should be praised for a job well done and not those coaches who only work with the already finished product in players.
It is not often for you to hear names of grassroot root coaches been mentioned when athletes are being honour, rather you will only hear names of those coaches that contributed limited effort to the development of this great athletes been mentioned,all the praises goes to the people that did little in up bringing of the kids.
In conclusion, the future and present lies in the hands of grassroot coaches,they are more passionate and consistence in what they do, as such they deserved recognition.
