WHAT A PACKAGE!!!

BACK-STORY & RECENT INTERACTION

Just like @papa-pepper, @girlbeforemirror joined steemit last July (2016). If I remember correctly, I first ran into here when I began running one of my first contests on steemit. Over the past year and a half, we have interacted here and there, and I even once got the chance to help her out.

Interestingly enough, I had actually forgotten about this until @mama-pepper and I got talking about @girlbeforemirror recently. Unfortunately, she has been through some pretty rough health issues in her life, and at one point @girlbeforemirror and her husband @azurejasper were roughly about $2000 USD short on medical bills. Outstanding bills like that can crush a family's finances, but we have a community here!

I decided to challenge the community to a duel, offering to match any and every STEEM & SBD donation up to the equivalent of $1250 USD. In the end, the community was rallied, donations were given, I matched them all, and the bills were eliminated. I recently looked back through that post and reminisced (since I had forget it even happened for a bit) and it was amazing to see this community at work. Click here to check it out.

A while ago @girlbeforemirror wanted to help out @cryptopie, but she wanted to verify that he was who he said he was. It is unfortunate that this is a wise thing to do these days, but too many try to deceive, cheat, and manipulate others. Her choice of verification was simple; send a few specific things that would be pretty much impossible to reproduce and have @cryptopie take some verification photos with the items upon delivery.

As a safeguard and way for "community verification" she even sent me photos of the items ahead of time, so I could verify that she had them in Australia and then that he got them in the Philippines. Though it took some time to deliver, it worked out, and now we can all be confident on the matter that @cryptopie is the real deal. Thanks for helping us @cryptopie. BUT NOW MAIL FOR ME?!?!?!?

When I was reading her post about the successful verification, I came across this little paragraph:

I finally sent a little parcel to the peppers too last week. It will be post marked from Australia and should arrive this week. Just a small token of my thanks.

This caught me off guard, and I was surprised. But, soon enough, the mail came, and there was a package for my family!

The package was amazing and contained all sorts of goodies for every member of my family. Some of the @little-peppers got some new hats to wear, and they were excited!

A few children's books were also included for the @little-peppers. Interestingly enough, some were even written by the aunt of @girlbeforemirror, so they got a signed copy addressed to them!

This is the type of stuff that goes above and beyond! Any present can be a present, but gifts like this are just precious! What a blessing.

The @little-peppers have been enjoying those books ever since! They even showed them to some of their friends. Plenty of other incredible blessings were also included, and we are so grateful for that! It should also be noted that @mama-pepper really enjoyed her bar of soap!

I'm posting this one in the #gratefulvibes tag as well to help promote this wonderful and potentially life-changing challenge. Thirty Eight days ago @paradise-found began a community challenge to encourage others to be grateful on a daily basis. So far this challenge has been having an incredible effect and many more are getting involved all of the time.

Even more amazing is that @paradise-found is donating half of the post payouts from his posts in the #gratefulvibes tag to WWH2H, a Christian Ministry in Honduras that includes a orphanage, a bi-lingual school, and a medical clinic. He has actually been there and knows the importance of their work, so he wants to also use his daily posts about the #gratefulvibes challenge to bless them! How cool is that?
