Today I am grateful for the 129th Rose Parade. I watch it each year if at all possible. I love to see the beautiful floats, hear the bands and view the equestrian groups. I call my mom during the parade and message my siblings. We all love to watch.
I always look for the float by the Lutheran Laymen's League. It is put together by a group of Lutherans called the Petal Pushers. Someday I want to go to the parade and be a petal pusher to help make the floats. According to the Lutheran Hour Ministries page it is the 67th year of having a float in the parade. It is the longest continuous appearance of a religious float in the parade.
This year's theme is "Making a Difference".
